3 Charged For Having Sex With Horse

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A man who authorities say previously was involved with bestiality has been charged with animal cruelty. Tennessee sheriff's investigators said 58-year-old James Michael Tait had sex with horses on a Maury County farm. The farm's owner, 44-year-old Kenny Thomason, was also charged with animal cruelty. Both men were charged on last Thursday.

The Daily Herald of Columbia, Tenn., reported that Christy Morris, 35, was also arrested and charged Tuesday with three counts of animal cruelty.

Investigators said Tait and Thomason confessed to having sex with animals on the farm. They are both currently in jail.

"We have evidence to believe that there were these acts with animals on this farm on Double Branch Road," said Chief Deputy Nathan Johns of the Maury County Sheriff's Department. The Associated Press reported that investigators said they seized photos in the case.

"They say that people that would harm an animal will eventually do it to a person," said Amy Wise, a horse trainer. "And so what worries me is that there aren't too many consequences for doing things to an animal like there are to people. So it does make me very worried and very afraid for my animals because I wouldn't have very much recourse."

King County, Wash., authorities said this isn't the first time Tait has been up on these types of charges. They say Tait videotaped another man, Kenneth Pinyan, having sex with a horse in 2005. Pinyan later died of internal injuries from the incident.

The Washington investigators said they found about 100 pornographic bestiality videos of Tait and others. Tait got a suspended sentence on a trespassing conviction, and Washington later outlawed bestiality, reported the AP.
